| Beautiful stream and trail just starting out.
We "re-conned" this trail area after being introduced to it from a backcountry horsemen ride. The bottom of the trail looked gorgeous even though the drive to the trailhead was challenging. (3 miles of mostly rough, rocky or dusty dirt road. At one point we weren't sure we would get our bumper pull trailer without scraping bottom on rocks. But, we did it!)

The road is good in some spots, but very narrow. Not much room to pass. No place to turn around until you reach the trailhead parking. Room for about 5 or so rigs there. |

Looked really pretty on May 22. |

May 26, 2022. About 4.9 miles round trip to the intersection with Loafer Mountain trail. Highest point=7,740'. Ascent=1,427'. Trail conditions: 50% soft dirt, 25% moderately rocky and 25% very rocky. A barefoot horse can do it fine if they are used to rocks. |
|
Can't really tell, but this is where it gets quite steep. |
|
A lot of the forest has been burned from the fire in 2017. |

At the "top" where the trail intersects/joins the Loafer Mountain trail. |
We turned back here. Apparently the back country group rode all the way to the Nebo Loop road and back for an 8.5 mile ride. Good for them!
